The elementary band program here at Botelle Elementary is comprised of students in grades 4-6. Students receive 30 minute lessons on a pull-out basis once a week. The entire band also rehearses every Monday for 45 minutes. All of this hard work leads our ensemble to two performances, at our winter and spring concerts.
Success in the band program relies a lot on the preparation and responsibility of our students. Students are expected to practice 75 minutes each week, which equals 15 minutes of practice, five nights a week. Students are also expected to bring their instrument, method book, and any necessary materials such as reeds, valve oil, etc., to every lesson and band rehearsal.
